Elderton is a borough located in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is situated in the western part of the state and is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.78 km²), all of it land.
As of the 2010 census, the population of Elderton was 295. The borough is served by the Elderton Volunteer Fire Department and the Elderton State Bank. The Penns Manor Area School District is responsible for providing educational services to the community.
Elderton has a rich history dating back to the 1800s when it was established as a mining town. Today, the borough is known for its small-town charm, rural setting, and numerous outdoor recreational opportunities. It is located near several state parks and natural areas, including Yellow Creek State Park, Upper and Lower County Parks, and Blue Spruce County Park.
